‘In the performance of asanas, two avenues or paths are involved. One is the evolutory, expressive or exhibitive path, taking the self towards the body, towards the pores of the skin, towards the periphery. The other is the involutory, intuitive or inhibitive path, where the vehicles of the body are made to move towards the self. The union of these two paths is the divine marriage of the body with the soul and the soul with the body. It is meditation’.

Iyengar BKS. Tree of Yoga, The fruit, p 67

Yoga Studies is a practise-based learning program for students who want to delve deeply into yoga.

Developing 1 is the second of our certificates and is to be attempted on completion of Foundation Certificate. Students are automatically enrolled into two Yoga Vidya subjects each term and move at a self-directed pace through four levels of certification. Each certificate covers part of the asana syllabus developed by Yoga Mandir and participants are guided by the Yoga Sadhana booklet. Click on the link to purchase a copy.

Certificate 1 covers the Foundation Level Syllabus; the next two certificates cover the Developing Level Syllabus, and the final certificate covers the Established Level Syllabus. Students may complete part or all of the program.

Completion of any part of the program may become an integral part of the preparation for Teacher Training at Yoga Mandir if that becomes the path you choose.   For more information on the Teacher Training programs click on this link.  https://www.yogamandir.com.au/teacher-development/
